LFS II Focus

Day 1: Continuing your Mastery of Leadership
We’ll kick off the first day of Level II by stretching your leadership development beyond the individual to explore team dynamics. You will explore models for healthy teams and how to measure team health using the Organizational Utility Index. Some of the topics discussed include:
• The Spectrum of Organizations
• Communication Roles
• Trust and Teams
• Organizational Intelligence
• Leading teams in your Sweet Spot

Day 1’s Destination:

You have discussed the benefits of teaming and models for healthy teams. You will understand methods for building healthy teams and measuring the results of those initiatives. Day 1 focuses on taking the tools and concepts learned in Level I and applies those tools in a new way.

Day 2: Teams Form and Teams Fall Apart
Today you will be considering both positive and negative reasons that teams form.  You will learn to distinguish between a healthy team and a negative or “false team”.  You will also hear about common roadblocks to teaming and some practical information on what breaks teams apart. Some topics to be discussed day 2 include:
• Team Formation
• Team Degeneration

• The Emotional Cycle of a Team

Day 2’s Destination:
You are now armed with the skills to assess teams.  You understand the varying types of teams.  You’ll also learn strategies that promote the formation of healthy teams and know how to create a culture which promotes teaming.

Day 3: Let’s Get Real

Now you are ready to use cutting edge technology to “map out” your own team dynamics.  This process is called Power-Charting™.  Power-Charting™ allows you to see the team connects and disconnects.  You can map the conduits for the transference of information and the potential areas where communication will break-down.  You will also be able to diagnose your own team and find solutions to flow issues by charting these dynamics.

Day 3’s Destination:
At the end of Day 3 you will have created an elaborate map of the communication flow of your team. You will understand the connects and blockages to optimizing your team relationships. You will have some real strategies to re-architect your teams for peak performance and better communication.

Day 4: Unleashing the Potential of the Team:

Now that you know how to best structure your team for optimum communication flow and balance, it is time to optimize your team’s organizational intelligence and learn how to lead an ideal team. Topics to be discussed include:
• The Radiant Leadership Model™
• Tools for unleashing Organizational Intelligence (OI)
• Programming a Group to Optimize OI
• Rcognizing the “Power Seat” and When to Use It.

Day 4’s Destination:

Day 4 teaches you leadership techniques to use within an optimized team.  You will have real strategies for increasing the horsepower of your group by increasing your organizational intelligence.  You will be equipped with strategies that will enhance not only your productivity, but also enhance the personal development of the individuals you are leading.

Day 5: Vision Crafting

You are almost ready to return to your organizations with your new knowledge, but first you must have your vision for your team focused like a laser.  During the ½ day of day five, you will be crystalizing your vision for your team and each member of your team.  Has you vision for them changed this week?

The leadership learning for the week concludes with a graduation ceremony however, that is not the end of your journey. It is the beginning.  Please let us know how we can be most helpful to you as you continue to grow and develop healthy teams.
